About Hario

Founded in 1921, Hario is a Japanese company that originally specialised in the production of heatproof glass for use in laboratories. In 1948, the business developed its first coffee syphon and began focussing on the world of coffee. The name Hario is derived from the Japanese words for glass (玻璃, hari), and king (王, ō). The king of glass has certainly served coffee lovers well and changed coffee drinking forever with the release of the legendary V60 dripper in 2005.

What is the Hario V60 Dripper?

The V60 dripper is cone-shaped and boasts spiralled ribs and a single large hole in its bottom, features that deliver control over the flow of water and air. This control ensures that the pourer can experiment to achieve their preferred flavour. It is the V shape and 60 degree angle of the cone that gave the V60 its name. Both ceramic and plastic V60 drippers are available, and you can choose from a variety of colours.
