Do pitcher rinsers require electricity?
The simple answer is no. Pitcher rinsers harness the power of water pressure to clean glasses etc quickly and efficiently. Effectively, they take the (approx. 1 bar) water pressure that the mains supplies and force it through smaller holes to create high-pressure water jets. That is not to say there are not super fancy rinsers out there somewhere with additional bells and whistles (flashing lights maybe?) but all the models we currently sell only require a mains inlet and waste outlet to function.
How do you install a pitcher rinser?
Pitcher rinsers tend to break down into 2 main types - countertop and recessed.
Recessed models work in the same way as a sink, ie you cut a hole in your worktop and fit the unit so the top is flush (or very close to flush) with the work surface.
Countertop models on the other hand can be freestanding allowing them to be moved around (but limited obviously by the location of the pipework). Others can be affixed directly to the countertop. These models tend to have a fairly low profile so they look relatively unobtrusive.
With all the models we sell we try to include on our product pages the manufacturer's technical specification and fitting instructions. On each product page you'll see an embedded PDF which can be viewed directly from the web page or downloaded. Hopefully these will give you all the information you need in order to fit the units.
Please note, some models come with the tubing and pipework required for fitting, and some do not. Please check the individual product listings for full details.,
